Richer Support
Gold Coast
About Richer Support At Richer Support, we believe every person deserves to live a meaningful life with genuine choice, dignity, and opportunities to thrive.
We don't see behaviour as something to be managed.
We see it as communication.
Our role is to understand the person behind the behaviour, identify unmet needs, strengthen relationships, and build environments where people can succeed.
Everything we do is grounded in human rights, neuroaffirming practice, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support.
We work alongside participants, families, support teams, and allied health professionals to create practical, meaningful change that improves quality of life.
We are committed to raising the standard of Positive Behaviour Support.
That means providing thoughtful clinical work, investing in supervision, encouraging curiosity, and never losing sight of the individual at the centre of every decision.
If you are looking for a team that values clinical excellence, collaboration, flexibility, and genuinely person-centred practice, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work alongside people with disability, their families, and support networks to understand what matters most to them and develop strategies that improve quality of life.
Rather than focusing solely on reducing behaviours of concern, you'll help people build skills, increase independence, strengthen relationships, and participate more fully in their communities.
You will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while being supported by an experienced clinical team committed to high-quality practice and ongoing professional development.
This is a remote contractor position that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to focus on meaningful clinical work.
What You'll Be Doing
Your role will include:
* Building genuine relationships with participants and the people important to them.
* Completing comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments.
* Developing practical, person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that reflect each person's strengths, goals, and preferences.
* Supporting implementation through coaching, education, and collaboration with families and support teams.
* Working to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices wherever possible through proactive, evidence-informed strategies.
* Participating in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, support coordinators, educators, and medical professionals.
* Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation that meets NDIS Practice Standards.
* Engaging in reflective practice, professional supervision, and continuous learning.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for practitioners who are passionate about making a genuine difference in people's lives.
You are someone who:
* Believes behaviour is communication.
* Values dignity, autonomy, and human rights.
* Builds trust through empathy, curiosity, and authentic relationships.
* Enjoys collaborating with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Thinks critically and is committed to evidence-informed practice.
* Takes pride in producing high-quality clinical work.
* Welcomes feedback and values ongoing professional growth.
* Is organised, self-motivated, and enjoys working independently while remaining connected to a supportive clinical team.
What You'll Bring
* Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support services across assessment, plan development, implementation, and review.
* Experience completing Functional Behaviour Assessments.
* Strong understanding of person-centred, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and neuroaffirming practice.
* Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
* Confidence working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, schools, SIL providers, and allied health professionals.
* Understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Practice Standards and Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
* Registration (or eligibility) as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Disability, Behaviour Analysis, or another related human services discipline.
* Confidence using telehealth and digital systems to provide flexible, high-quality services.
