About the role
Cho Landscaping and Gardening Pty Ltd is seeking an experiencedAccountantto join our finance team.
This is afull-time positionbased inQueens Park, WA ****.
In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organisation, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
The Accountant plays a crucial part in supporting the company's growth and profitability by providing sound financial management and strategic insights to senior leadership.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Manage payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment of employees
Managing budgeting processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting against agreed budgets
Preparing financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports for stakeholder review
Coordinate with debtors to ensure any outstanding balances were cleared
Implementing and maintaining accounting systems, processes and controls to optimise efficiency and minimise risk
Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors and other professional advisors as required
Analysing financial performance and providing recommendations to support business decision-making
Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions
Supporting strategic financial planning and contributing to the company's long-term financial objectives
What we're looking for
Degree in Accounting/Commerce (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience as an accountant or accounting leadership role
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and management accounting practices
Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Demonstrated experience in team leadership, supervision and staff development
Strong understanding of financial compliance, tax obligations and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to senior stakeholders
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
