About the role
SURF Toyota is seeking an experiencedSenior Automotive Technician / Diesel Mechanic (SIC)to join our dealership in Tweed Heads, NSW.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the workshop by performing advanced diagnostics and repairs, maintaining Toyota's high standards, and mentoring junior technicians.
Key responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, servicing and repairs in accordance with Toyota standards
Carry out pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing and complex repairs
Mentor and support junior technicians
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
Complete work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Support continuous improvement within the workshop
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Participate in Toyota training and professional development
What we're looking for
Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician, Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
Experience in automotive repair and diagnostics
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills




Ability to mentor and support less experienced technicians
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
