This role is ideal for a strong Senior Technician who enjoys helping others succeed, improving workshop flow and ensuring every job is completed to the standard our customers expect.
Working closely with the Workshop Manager, you will help plan and oversee technicians' work, support more complex repairs and maintain high standards across quality, productivity, organisation and team development.
About the role
As Workshop Foreman, you will provide practical, day-to-day leadership within the workshop while continuing to contribute to productive work on the tools.
You will help technicians plan and execute their jobs effectively, identify potential challenges early and provide guidance where required.
You will also oversee high-risk and in-depth repairs to help ensure they are completed correctly and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting technicians with job planning, technical guidance and repair execution
Working alongside the Workshop Manager to maintain excellent workmanship and minimise rework
Overseeing complex, high-risk and first-time repairs
Mentoring and developing technicians and apprentices
Supporting the onboarding of recent technical team members
Coordinating internal technical training and identifying external training needs
Maintaining workshop equipment, workstations and the tool register
Managing workshop tool purchases within the approved budget
Ensuring job cards are accurate, detailed and checked before handover to the service team
Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop throughout the day
Promoting excellent vehicle care and ensuring every vehicle is returned in the same or better condition
Communicating clearly with the Workshop Manager, technicians and service team, with no surprises.
About you
You are an experienced technician who leads through knowledge, consistency and example rather than ego.




You understand that being a successful Foreman is not simply about solving every problem yourself.
It is about helping the team plan better, work efficiently and continue building their own capability.
You will bring:
Strong experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing European vehicles
Experience as a Senior Technician, Leading Hand, Foreman or in a similar workshop leadership position
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to guide others through complex repairs
Excellent attention to detail, particularly with quality control and job-card documentation
A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach
Clear and respectful written and verbal communication
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confidence holding high standards while maintaining positive working relationships
A genuine interest in mentoring technicians and supporting their development
Pride in your workmanship, workshop presentation and treatment of customer vehicles.
Be capable and willing to cover front of house duties during unplanned leave
