Summary Description The Senior Estimator is responsible for supervising and supporting the estimating team to produce high quality, accurate estimates in a timely and effective fashion.
Essential Job Duties/ Responsibilites
Understanding and knowledge of electrical design-build and plan spec project typesCreate rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing based on limited Basis of Design DocumentationSupervise and lead estimating team to accurate and timely completion of electrical estimatesUnderstanding and knowledge of electrical design-build and plan-spec project typesProduce accurate estimate take-offs for all electrical systemsMust be able to read and interpret plan notes and details, project specifications and bid addenda Request, manage and review supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure all scope items are accurately capturedAbility to read and accurately populate bid form and write detailed project scope lettersResponsible for creation, maintenance, and upgrade of Accubid Anywhere estimating software, database (units and pricing) and assembliesDevelop and communicate to team members company standards and procedures for take-offs and estimatingDevelop,



train and lead junior estimators and project engineers
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED requiredBachelors in Engineering or Construction Management preferred Minimum of 7 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial/ industrial/ high tech industry with 3-5 years of design build experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organizationHighly organized, detail-oriented individual with demonstrated ability to multitask as well as effective time management skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentExperience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Spectrum by Viewpoint preferredExperience in Accubid Enterprise/ Anywhere and LiveCount required
Physical Requirements
Job requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, standing and walking to perform duties.
Some tasks will require the ability to be outdoors.
