Job Description
Gruber Painting Pty Ltd As a full-time Painter, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of painting and decorating tasks across residential and commercial projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
Benefits Full-time | A$75,000–A$85,000 per annum + Superannuation Task & responsibilities Preparing interior and exterior building surfaces for painting by removing old paint, sanding, filling holes and cracks, and sealing joints.
Selecting and preparing appropriate paints, primers, sealants, and coatings to achieve the desired colour and texture.
Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to safety protocols.
Erecting and dismantling scaffolding and ladders safely, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splatters.
Hanging wallpaper, including matching patterns and trimming edges.
Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Complying with workplace health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance painting techniques and knowledge of materials.




Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of painting projects to the company's quality standards.
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas during and after painting tasks.
Qualification & experience Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification At least one year of work experience as a painter Ability to follow instructions and work within established safety guidelines in accordance with WHS and industrial safety standards.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to carry out surface preparation safely and coating application Capacity to work as part of a team and communicate effectively on-site
