About company/role:
Major food/beverage manufacturing
Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
Seeking aQA/QC Officerto join the quality team
6-month casual contract, potential to extend
Must be able to workday shift (6am-6pm), night shifts (6pm-6am) and weekends
7-day fortnightly roster
Open to food science and chemistry graduates
Duties, but not limited to:
Collecting samples from manufacturing line
QC testing of raw materials and finished products using basic wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH, brix, HPLC)
Batch release
Assisting with sensory evaluations
Data entry and result compilation
Check and fill-in quality paperwork
General housekeeping and maintenanceof lab
Ensure GMP standards
Skills/experience:
Tertiary educationin Food science, Chemistry, or similar
Prior experience in GMP regulated workplace or laboratory is highly advantageous
Good understanding of chemistry analytical skills
Excellent communication skills and time management
