The Role
As an Associate in our Melbourne Workplace and Safety team, you'll work across the full range of workplace matters, advising and representing insurers, employers and organisations on high-stakes, fast-moving issues.
Our national practice has expertise across all jurisdictions, with a strong focus on employment advice and representation in litigated claims.
You'll be part of a team that is known for adapting to the ever-changing landscape of employment relations and delivering practical solutions to complex problems, including through regular workplace training for clients.
What You'll Do:
Assist clients with performance management, disciplinary processes, employee misconduct issues and termination of employment matters
Support workplace restructures and provide advice on employee entitlements, awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts
Assist with workplace investigations and sensitive people matters
Work on unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination and other employment-related disputes
Draft employment agreements, workplace policies and employment advice for clients across a range of industries
Support clients with workplace compliance, governance and risk management issues
What We're Looking For:
An Associate with experience in employment law, industrial relations and/or workplace disputes
Exposure to both contentious and advisory employment matters
Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical and commercial approach
A willingness to learn, take initiative and build trusted relationships with clients
A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in developing your career in a leading workplace and employment team
