Job Description
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Signal Technician to join our team based in Merredin.
Reporting to the Supervisor Signals, you will carry out the safe, effective and effective first-line maintenance and service restoration of signalling equipment and systems to a high degree of integrity to ensure rail safety standards are met.
As the Signal Technician you will be part of a team responsible for carrying out scheduled routine maintenance on signalling equipment, actively protected level crossings and associated electrical power and control systems.
You will carry out inspections, investigate incidents and perform testing and monitoring to ensure the integrity and reliability of our signalling equipment.
You will also be required to undertake minor projects and participate in commissioning of new equipment, systems and technology and prepare and complete documentation including maintenance records, logs, field data reports and technical drawing amendments.
This role can be residential or a drive in, drive out to Merredin on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster.
Accommodation and transport will be provided from our Perth Airport head office to Merredin and back.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Electrical Trade qualificationWA Electrical Worker's Licence WA Driver's LicenceExperience in a similar role (desirable)
