Due to our continued growth, MAK Diesel & Earthmoving is seeking experienced and highly motivated Diesel Fitters for our workshop located in Townsville, QLD.
The successful applicant will have the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, working in a dynamic and challenging environment with a high focus on quality workmanship.
The ideal person will be required to participate in all aspects of fleet maintenance by working within a team, promoting workplace safety standards, and ensuring the highest standards of work are conducted and maintained.
Experience in Heavy Earthmoving Machinery as well as Road Transport Vehicles is a requirement for this position as we carry out maintenance and repairs on various Makes/Models.

Key Responsibilities & Duties will include but not be limited to:
Diagnose, perform repairs & maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment and on-highway equipment in our workshop, with some field work as required.
Assist in compiling accurate Service Reports for maintenance & repairs
Assist in the diagnosis, rectification, and compiling of claim submissions for warranty work
Lead and mentor a small team of Apprentices.
Assist in Training of other Team members

Requirements for position:
Australian Recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate
Current Manual Driver's License
Ability to be able to pass a medical
Forklift license is not mandatory but is preferred
The ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
Townsville based position – The position does not support fly in/fly out rosters
