Ltd. trading as Neerim South Hotel, is a well-established hospitality venue located in the heart of Neerim South, Victoria.
The hotel offers quality accommodation, a popular bistro, bar facilities, and function spaces, providing a welcoming destination for both local patrons and visitors.
The business is committed to delivering high standards of customer service, quality dining, and memorable guest experiences.
The business is seeking to appoint an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring efficient service delivery across accommodation, food and beverage, and front-of-house operations.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage operational performance, lead the hospitality team, maintain compliance with industry regulations, and contribute to the hotel's continued commercial success.
This role is integral to maintaining the hotel's reputation for quality hospitality while driving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or equivalent qualification as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
A qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
Minimum one year of relevant experience in a similar management role within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including accommodation, bar, bistro, functions, and customer service activities.
Monitor operational performance to ensure high standards of guest service,



cleanliness, and presentation are consistently maintained.
Recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate staff while fostering a productive and customer-focused workplace culture.
Manage guest enquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Prepare budgets, monitor financial performance, control operating costs, and provide regular reports to the Director.
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Coordinate maintenance programs and liaise with contractors to ensure hotel facilities remain secure and well maintained.
Manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships to maintain efficient stock control and cost-effective operations.
Develop and implement promotional initiatives, functions, and local marketing activities to increase patronage and revenue.
Monitor customer feedback and implement continuous improvements to enhance operational performance and guest experience.
Skills And Experience
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills within a hospitality environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and performance reporting.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple operational functions.
Knowledge of hospitality operations, food and beverage service, accommodation management, and venue promotions.
Thorough understanding of relevant hospitality legislation, including liquor licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety, and employment obligations.
