Exciting Opportunity: Field Engineer (International – Australia and New Zealand)
The client, a global leader in Public Safety and Government communications technology, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Engineer to join their dynamic System Integration International team.
This is a fantastic chance to work on mission-critical communication systems, supporting projects across Australia and New Zealand.
The role is based remotely or on-site at customer locations, with options for flexible working arrangements, and involves engaging in diverse projects that make a real difference in public safety and government services.
As the selected candidate, you will:
Lead or assist in the implementation of communication system solutions, ensuring they meet customer, end-user, and operator requirements.
Support Factory Acceptance Tests and coordinate technical acceptance testing activities.
Install, integrate, test, and commission Solutions and third-party systems, often working closely with suppliers and vendors.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project deployment and support the handover process.
Update technical documentation and manage change control to ensure accurate records.
Provide technical support during all project phases, including customer meetings, status updates, and reporting.
Conduct site visits, remote support, and technical assessments to ensure system performance.
Coordinate with customers, partners, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth deployment and knowledge transfer.
Identify and mitigate potential technical risks, developing plans to address issues proactively.
Assist in resource planning and ensure that technical team members are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with project goals.




Drive continuous process improvements to optimize technical delivery and organisational efficiency.
To be successful in this role you should have:Relevant technical experience in installing, configuring, and commissioning communication or similar systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues independently.
Experience supporting projects in a customer-facing environment, ideally in a public safety or government context.
Good understanding of technical documentation, change management, and quality standards.
Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with technical teams, customers, and vendors effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplined project team, managing multiple projects as needed.
A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
It is desirable if you have:Experience working in Australia or New Zealand, or similar regional markets.
Knowledge of Motorola Solutions or comparable mission-critical communication systems.
Certifications relevant to radio, telecommunications, or network systems.
Willingness to travel regionally and support projects in diverse locations.
