The Rowing Association of Western Australia Inc (Rowing WA) is the State Sporting Association responsible for the development, promotion and governance of the sport of rowing throughout Western Australia.
Rowing WA is a not for profit organisation which is governed by the Board of Rowing WA.
Rowing WA is one of seven State/Territory Associations, which make up the membership of the national body, Rowing Australia.

Position Overview
This position will manage the day-to-day implementation of Rowing WA's club, coach, official and athlete development initiatives that enhance the recruitment and retention pathways for each of these stakeholder groups.
It will also deliver regattas and events portfolio, alongside the Events Manager.
This role is also responsible for driving member engagement through effective communication strategies across Rowing WA's digital platforms, newsletters, website and other member-focused channels.
It involves delivering engaging content, maintaining a consistent online presence, and ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information to members, stakeholders, and the public.
The position requires a highly motivated and energetic individual with strong communication, relationship-building, event management, and organisational skills.
The ability to forge a close working relationship with Rowing WA affiliated bodies, staff, volunteers, and other key stakeholders will be essential to the successful achievement of this position's objectives.
Core Responsibilities
Accountability for delivery of the following Rowing WA programs:
Manage the Rowing WA membership database and club engagement with the platform
Drive member engagement through social media, newsletters, website and other communication channels.
Oversee the recruitment, retention, and ongoing development of coaches and officials.
Support implementation of new initiatives and programs within the sport
Hands-on delivery of regattas and off-water events.
Support organisational initiatives and projects as directed by the CEO and GM Operations.
Essential Criteria
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability in relationship building and member-focused engagement.
Experience in communications or digital marketing, with strong writing, editing, basic design skills (e.g. Canva) and social media experience including content creation and analytics.
Experience with IT systems including membership management software
Experience in delivering sporting or other events, and
Experience delivering sport development programs for clubs, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
Effective organisational, time management, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Team-oriented team player with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Term and Hours of Work
The role is a full time permanent position working 38 hours per week.
The nature of the position will require out of hours and weekend work and regular travel to clubs and schools
Salary and Benefits
Up to $78,000 per annum (plus superannuation)
