Silentium Defence is continuing to grow, and we are seeking a technically minded Graduate Support Engineer to join our Support team.
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to develop hands-on experience across supporting engineering, product operation, troubleshooting, field application support, maintenance and customer issue resolution.
Reporting to the Support Lead, you will work closely with engineering, project, production and customer-facing teams to support Silentium Defence's advanced technology products and help ensure our systems continue to perform in real-world environments.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Respond to assigned support tasks and assist with the investigation, triage and resolution of customer and internal support issuesSupport the operation, configuration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting of company systemsLearn how to set up, operate and troubleshoot Silentium Defence productsCoordinate with engineering, production, project and support stakeholders to progress technical issuesSupport the development of customer reporting metricsAssist with equipment trials, customer operations, integrations and training activitiesDevelop practical knowledge of product architectures, interfaces, maintenance practices and support processesSupport local, national and international field deployments when required, with appropriate supervision
About You
You are a recent engineering graduate who is curious, proactive and keen to build a career in support engineering, field applications or product support.
You enjoy practical problem solving, learning how systems work and working with others to resolve technical issues.
You are comfortable asking questions,
taking ownership of tasks and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will bring:
A recent Bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Software, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or similarLess than 2 years of relevant professional work experienceA solid willingness to learn across product support, troubleshooting, maintenance and customer operationsGood written and verbal communication skillsA proactive and responsible approach to completing tasksThe ability to work collaboratively with engineering, project, production and support teamsA genuine interest in Defence technology, advanced sensing, RF, radar or complex systems
Exposure to Defence, RF, radar, sensing systems, electronics, software, mechanical systems or customer-facing technical support would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Due to the nature of our work within the Defence industry, applicants must be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
Applicants must also be willing to undertake occasional domestic travel, with the potential to support field activities and customer operations when required.
