Dunns Earthmoving is a South Australian company delivering earthworks and related services for the Mining and Exploration Industries in some of Australia's most remote regions.
Our field operations are based in the Cooper-Eromanga Basin, located on the South Australian and Queensland border, covering a vast area of Central Australia's desert.
This region is a critical hub for onshore oil and gas supply across South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair a range of light vehicles and heavy equipment
Perform regular services including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
Overhaul and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent future problems
Following safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working setting for all
Keep accurate service records and maintain high workshop standards
Capable of working autonomously in breakdown situations
Willingness to be flexible with roster changes if required
Uphold and promote strict safety standards on every task
What You'll Bring
Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Solid mechanical and diagnostic expertise across multiple vehicle systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Great communication and problem-solving skills
Essential Requirements

Current Police clearance
Senior First Aid Certificate
White card
Highly Regarded
Air Conditioning ticket
HR/HC truck licence
