The Chance:
We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented Apprentice to join our Woodville North plant.
This full-time, permanent position offers an immediate start and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities Apprentice Fitter:
Assist in all types of maintenance work on hydraulic and mechanical systems and equipment
Assist to create, read and intrepid hydraulic schematics
Assist in hydraulic circuit fault finding and diagnostic work
Assist to create specific maintenance programmes to fulfil customer requirements in conjunction to hydraulic schematics
Assist to create and compile accurate and concise service reports
Assist the Hydraulic technicians as directed
Ensure workshop is kept neat and tidy
Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager
Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S; requirements
Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S; risks in the workplace
Conformance to quality systems and procedures
Key Responsibilities Apprentice Machinist:
Use a center lathe, drill or mill to machine components in the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders
Interpret engineering drawings and follow instructions with precision
Collaborate effectively with the Supervisors, Operations Manager, and workshop team
Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager
Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S; requirements
Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S; risks in the workplace
Conformance to quality systems and procedures
Key Responsibilities Apprentice Fabrication:
Fabricate and weld hydraulic cylinders to Australian standards
Interpret engineering drawings and follow instructions with precision
Collaborate effectively with the Welding Supervisor, Operations Manager, and workshop team
Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager
Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S; requirements
Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S; risks in the workplace
Conformance to quality systems and procedures
Role Requirements:
Progression towards a trade qualification
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
Major Measures:
Successful completion of practical and theoretical component of apprenticeship
Paperwork completed accurately
Good customer service skills
