About Us
Educate ELC is a Central Coast-based, non-profit early childhood education and care organisation, operating three OOSH centres and one Long Daycare Centre.
We are well capitalised and looking for an experienced General Manager to take our organisation to the next stage of growth.
This is a rare role: a well-compensated leadership position with genuine autonomy in a purpose-driven, non-profit environment, without the pressures of the corporate childcare model.
Reporting directly to an experienced and diverse Board, you will oversee the management and growth of the organisation; all while working on the beautiful NSW Central Coast.
The successful candidate will act as a Person with Management Control and support the Educate ELC team to achieve exceeding practices.
The Opportunity
As General Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead a financially strong, extremely well capitalised, purpose-driven organisation with the resources to invest in its future — and strengthen its position further by securing grants and funding opportunities.
Drive growth organically and through strategic acquisitions and community partnerships.
Develop and inspire a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and child safety.
Partner with an experienced Board to shape strategy, strengthen governance and deliver long-term success.
Enjoy a well-remunerated leadership role in a non-profit setting, free from the pressures of the corporate childcare model.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
Minimum 3 years' experience as an operational leader with proven track record of improving performance across budgets,

leading staff and delivering sustainable growth within an early education environment or related sector.
Strong operational and commercial management capability.
Ability to provide explicit, evidence-based reporting on finance, risk, compliance, and operational performance.
Capacity to work collaboratively with a Board of Directors in supporting the Board's governance responsibilities through providing accurate documentation, risk identification, and strategic insight.
Demonstrated skill in translating organisational strategy into operational plans, KPIs, and measurable outcomes.
High-level communication skills, including the ability to engage confidently with regulators, auditors, families, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to undertake stakeholder engagement and promotional activities.
An Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Highly Desirable:
A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and/or Business, Commerce, Management or a related field.
Current Paid NSW Working with Children Check and driver's licence.
Sound understanding of EYLF, NQS, National Regulations, and compliance requirements.
This is a rare and unique opportunity to work with an organisation focused on best outcomes for children, their families, and ongoing professional development for all educators and management as well as exciting community projects.
You will also be supported by various leadership programs and systems like online leadership platforms and online QIP programs.
Please send you application by 22/07/2026 to Alina Dan, CEO, Holistic Management & Consultancy (******).
Please ensure your application includes a cover letter addressing the key requirements of the role.
