This opportunity is specifically for Bushwalking Guide roles on our Kangaroo Island Walk in South Australia.

About the role:
As a Guide, you will create safe, engaging and memorable experiences for guests, helping them step out of everyday life and into extraordinary wilderness environments.
Identify and manage potential hazards and maintain strong knowledge of safety procedures and equipment
Ensure all guests are prepared and well equipped for their trip
Complete accurate trip documentation, including trip reports, hazard identification and incident reporting
Share engaging stories and interpretive knowledge about the landscape, wildlife, history and cultural significance of the area
Maintain a robust focus on guest safety throughout each trip
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest accommodation and shared spaces
About you:
Relevant bush walking experience and a good knowledge of the National Parks the walk is situated in
Demonstrable knowledge and ability to provide interpretation about the area, the flora, fauna, and history to guests
Well-developed customer service, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
Hospitality experience; cooking, food preparation, presentation, and service
Current Wilderness First Aid (SISSS*****)
Current Provide CPR (HLTAID009)*must be valid within 12 months*
Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB021)* to be certified in the state you will be working in*
Use hygiene practices for food safety, or equivalent (SITXFSA005)
Participate in Safe Food Handling (SIXFSA006)
Light Rigid Licence
Commercial Passenger Accreditation (CPV) or Mutual Recognition Certificate

If you progress to the interview stage, you will be asked to send through evidence of the qualifications listed above.
Applicants who do not yet hold the required qualifications are still encouraged to apply, provided you can obtain them before commencement or provide evidence of intended enrolment, including the RTO provider and course date.
Successful candidates must be available to attend training commencing on 26 August ****.
