Short Term Project - Wollongong
Responsibilities:
Read and work from blueprints, drawings and technical docs
Measure, mark and prep materials ready for welding
Set up your gear — welding machines, gas torches, power tools
Cut and prepare metal surfaces (grinding and other prep as needed)
Assemble frames and structures to spec
Weld using the right technique for the job
Check your own work — every weld meets standard, finished product inspected for defects
Keep your equipment and tools maintained and in valuable nick
Reliable transport to the Wollongong area
Qualifications:
Certificate/diploma in welding, or equivalent on-the-job experience
Welding experience in a construction setting
Confident reading blueprints, drawings and technical documents
Skilled at using and maintaining welding equipment
Solid knowledge of welding techniques and materials across different jobs
Full working rights in Australia
