About the role
Mater Private Hospital Mackayhas an exciting opportunity for aRegistered Nurseto join ourSurgical/Rehabilitation Ward.We offer flexible employment arrangements, with opportunities ranging fromPart time to Full time employment from0.4 FTE to 1.0 FTEto suit your lifestyle and work preferences.
This role involves working across aMonday to Saturday roster, delivering high-quality patient care within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Our Surgical/Rehabilitation Ward combines a newly established 6-bed Rehabilitation Unit with a 33-bed Surgical Ward.
The ward provides care across a broad range of specialties including orthopaedics, urology, ENT, general surgery, colorectal surgery and bariatric surgery.
With a robust focus on multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centred care, the team works together to support patients throughout their surgical and rehabilitation journey, delivering high-quality outcomes in a welcoming and professional setting.
The ward operates Monday to Saturday and offers a diverse and rewarding clinical experience.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
Displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the ward.
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical and rehab patients
About you
You will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions
Digital and computer proficiency
Minimum of one-year post-graduate experience
Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
