DXN Limited is an Australian technology company delivering modular data centre infrastructure across Australia and Asia-Pacific.
With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, we are looking for an energetic Trades Assistant.
You'll be on the floor supporting our trades with everything from moving materials and prepping cable ends to quality finishing work and packing completed modules into shipping containers.
This isn't a stand-around role.
We need someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it, someone who takes pride in the finish, not just the task.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
• Receiving, unpacking, and staging materials and components — checking deliveries against dockets and flagging any issues.
• Moving gear around the factory floor safely using trolleys, pallet jacks, and forklift (ticket required or we'll get you there).
• Helping the trades with cable pulling, tray work, conduit bending, and lifting — hands-on support under supervision.
• Quality finishing tasks: the detail work that makes the difference between a valuable job and a great one.
• Prepping cable ends — stripping,



ferrule crimping, heat-shrink, and labelling.
• Keeping the floor clean, tools sorted, and stores tidy (6S standards).
• Packing and loading out completed modules — wrapping, labelling, and securing for transport, including 40 ft shipping containers.
• Stepping up during shutdowns and Maslah periods when the pressure is on.
• Reporting hazards and near-misses immediately — safety is non-negotiable here.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• White Card (CPCWHS****) — or ability to get one before you start.
• 1–2 years of factory floor, construction, or workshop experience.
• Background in carpentry, shopfitting, or a similar trade, eye for detail and quality finishing is a big plus.
• A genuine interest in building trade skills and learning on the job.
• The ability to take direction and work safely in a busy factory environment.
• Physically fit and ready for hands-on manual work.
• Forklift licence (LF class) or EWP ticket is highly desirable
