Position PurposeThe Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Lead plays a pivotal role in driving quality, safety, compliance and continuous improvement across BoraCare's Child, Youth & Disability Services.
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of quality assurance and safeguarding frameworks that support high-quality, person-centred service delivery.
Working closely with operational leaders and frontline teams, the role ensures compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements while fostering a culture of safeguarding, accountability, risk management and continuous improvement.
The Quality Assurance & Safeguarding Lead will lead audits, quality reviews, incident and safeguarding investigations, NDIS Commission reporting and compliance activities, policy development, and staff education initiatives.
The role is instrumental in ensuring BoraCare's services consistently meet quality, safety and safeguarding standards while supporting positive outcomes for the children, young people, participants we serve.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as BoraCare's Safeguarding Lead and subject matter expert, providing guidance and oversight on safeguarding, quality, risk and compliance matters.Lead safeguarding investigations, incident management processes, regulatory reporting and organisational responses to risk and compliance issues.Oversee internal audits, quality reviews,
accreditation activities and continuous improvement initiatives to support high-quality service delivery.Develop, implement and review quality, safeguarding, risk and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures aligned with legislative and regulatory requirements.Monitor incidents, complaints, organisational risks and performance data, identifying trends and driving corrective actions and service improvements.Lead training, coaching and capability development in safeguarding, quality assurance, risk management and compliance practices.Coordinate property safety compliance, workplace health and safety systems, emergency preparedness and related audit requirements.Build and maintain productive relationships with regulators, commissioners, government agencies, funding bodies and sector partners.Contribute to strategic planning, organisational reporting, business development and continuous improvement as a member of the Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Training• Bachelor level in relevant skilled discipline such as social work, psychology or social science (or relevant relatable experience)• Maintaining all industry and organisation-related mandatory clearances and training requirements
Salary RangeSalary Range: $105,000 - $110,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus superannuation.
Classification: SCHADS Award - Level 5
