We're looking for aTrades Assistant/Storepersonwith the capability to perform the assembly of parts, supporting general store duties, as well as deliveries.

About the Role
This position is a combinedTrades Assistant/Storepersonrole.
The primary focus of the role is supporting store operations, materials handling, stock control, and workshop coordination, while also assisting with general trades support duties and occasional deliveries when required.
You will play an important part in ensuring parts, consumables, and fabricated items are organised, available, and delivered efficiently to support daily workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Store & Workshop Support
Receive, inspect, organise, and dispatch goods and materials
Maintain orderly and accurate inventory




Prepare parts for workshop use and dispatch
Load/unload deliveries and operate forklifts/material handling equipment
Coordinate freight and maintain a clean, organised store/workshop
Trades Assistant Support
Assist tradespersons with fabrication tasks, including assembling parts using hand/power tools
Follow basic drawings and verbal instructions
Conduct basic quality checks
Support general workshop operations
Delivery Support
Complete deliveries and pickups using company vehicles
Ensure goods are transported securely and professionally
Skills and Requirements
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or similar role
Familiarity with inventory or purchasing systems (desirable)
Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings
Good understanding of power tools and equipment
Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable and able to work independently and in a team
Forklift Licence (Essential)
Valid manual driver's licence (Essential)
Ability to safely operate manual transmission vehicles for deliveries
