About the role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitters to work a 2/1 roster for a period of 5 months at Olympic Dam.
This is a hands-on role assembling, installing, and maintaining crusher and conveyor components, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
What you will be doing
Install bearings into crusher housings and apply grease to ensure correct lubrication.
Fit bearing housings onto crusher shafts and complete associated assembly tasks.
Install top guarding on conveyor systems
Fit liners into discharge chutes
Install conveyor scrapers and associated components
Assemble and attach conveyor walkways and structural components
Perform general mechanical fitting and assembly duties as required.
What you will need
Mechanical Trade Certificate
White Card
Current Driver's License
National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
Working at Heights certification
EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license – Above 11m
Previous experience in mining/construction within shutdown, project or maintenance roles
