Cold Store Operator

About us
We are an established hydroponic horticultural production business based in Virginia, South Australia, growing and supplying hydroponic vegetables.
We are seeking a Cold Store Operator to run day-to-day cold-storage operations.
Remuneration & hours
Salary package:from $71,550 per annum plus superannuation(paid in accordance with the applicable Award; commensurate with skills and experience)
Full-time, ongoing position
Hours: 38 ordinary hours per week, averaged over a 4-week cycle (152 hours per 4 weeks), plus guaranteed overtime of approximately 8 hours per week (paid at overtime rates) — around 46 hours per week in total.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Receive, store, rotate and dispatch produce in cold storage and coolrooms
Monitor and record storage temperatures and conditions




Operate forklifts and materials-handling equipment (as licensed)
Pack, palletise and label produce for storage and dispatch
Maintain cold-store hygiene, biosecurity and stock records
Report faults in refrigeration or handling equipment
Follow WHS and food-safety requirements and use personal protective equipment
Skill & Experience
About you
Relevant experience in cold storage, warehouse or produce handling (or a relevant certificate)
Forklift licence desirable
Able to work in cold / chilled environments
Able to follow directions and work in a team
Reliable and safety-focused
