About the Role
Reporting to the F&B; Manager and General Manager, you will take ownership of all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, operational efficiency and an outstanding guest dining experience.
This is a true leadership position where you will oversee menu development, food preparation, kitchen operations, staffing, purchasing and cost control, while mentoring and developing a passionate back-of-house team.
The role services a broad range of hospitality offerings including the hotel's restaurant, café, bar, group catering,
conferences, weddings, special events and seasonal peak trade.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a quick-paced environment.
You will play an integral role in maintaining Arlberg Hotel's reputation for quality, consistency and memorable guest experiences while continually looking for opportunities to innovate and enhance the culinary offering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
Manage all day-to-day back-of-house operations.
Design and implement seasonal menus showcasing fresh, high-quality produce.
Deliver exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency across all services.
Oversee food purchasing, inventory management and supplier relationships.
Manage food and labour costs to achieve operational budgets and profitability.
Coordinate catering for weddings, conferences, functions and group bookings.
Ensure compliance with all Food Safety Standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Develop efficient rostering and workforce planning to support seasonal demand.
Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
Work closely with the wider leadership team to continually improve guest satisfaction and operational performance.
About You
You are a passionate and hands-on culinary leader who enjoys leading by example and creating exceptional dining experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume hospitality environment.
Experience working within hotels, resorts, premium restaurants or alpine hospitality (highly regarded).
Strong commercial acumen with proven experience managing food costs and kitchen profitability.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining consistently high standards.
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification (essential).
Strong understanding of food safety legislation and workplace compliance.
Passion for quality produce, innovation and delivering memorable guest experiences.
