About the Role
Evolve Fire Protection is seeking an experienced and motivatedMinor Works Project Manager / Estimatorto join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for managing small to medium-sized fire protection projects from initial client enquiry through to project completion.
You will prepare accurate quotations and estimates, coordinate labour and materials, liaise with clients and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with Australian Standards.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in the fire protection industry who enjoys both office-based estimating and in office project management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for minor works projects.
Review drawings, specifications and site conditions to determine project scope.
Conduct site inspections and client meetings as required.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously from award through to completion.
Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
Monitor project budgets, timelines and variations.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and industry best practice.
Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce project documentation, as-installed information and handover documentation.
Assist with identifying opportunities for additional works and value engineering.
About You




To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated experience estimating and managing fire protection projects.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards relating to fire protection systems (including AS ****, AS ****, AS **** and other relevant standards).
Excellent ability to interpret architectural, hydraulic and electrical drawings.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to estimate projects efficiently and accurately.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and client relationship skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
Sprinkler Fitter Licence (highly regarded but not essential).
Fire industry qualifications or trade background.
FPAS accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
Experience using estimating and project management software.
