About Our Client
Peabody is a leading coal producer with operations across the Bowen Basin.
Coppabella Mine is a well-established site recognised for its commitment to safety, operational excellence, and strong team culture.
What You Will Be Doing
Carrying out blasting activities in accordance with site procedures
Preparing, loading, and firing blast patterns safely and efficiently
Conducting pre-blast inspections and safety checks
Maintaining compliance with all legislative and site requirements
Working closely with production and drill and blast teams
What You Will Need
Current Queensland Shotfirer's Licence
S1, S2 and S3 competencies
G8 and G9 competencies or equivalent
Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrate (SSAN) clearance
Previous experience in a coal mining environment
Current driver's licence and full Australian working rights
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Desirable
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)




Previous experience delivering on-the-job training or mentoring
