The Houses Hotel Group is seeking a reliable and hands-onGardener & Property Maintenanceteam member to help care for our collection of boutique accommodation properties across Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
This is a varied full-time role, perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, takes initiative and has a keen eye for detail.
About Us
The Houses Hotel Group manages a growing collection of boutique accommodation, country homes and retreats throughout Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
Beautiful gardens and well-maintained properties are an significant part of the guest experience, and we're looking for someone who shares our pride in presentation.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining our gardens and outdoor spaces while also assisting with general property maintenance across our portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
Lawn mowing, edging and brush cutting
Pruning, hedging, weeding and seasonal planting
Garden maintenance across multiple properties
Chopping and distributing firewood and kindling
Irrigation checks and basic repairs
Leaf removal and general outdoor presentation
General property maintenance and repairs




Painting and touch-up work
Basic plumbing and handyman tasks
Managing rubbish, recycling and green waste bins across properties
Assisting with furniture assembly and property set-up when needed
Identifying maintenance issues before they become larger repairs
Working with external contractors when required
Maintaining tools and equipment
About You
You'll ideally have:
Experience in gardening, landscaping, property maintenance or a similar role
A practical, hands-on approach
The ability to work independently and manage your time well
Pride in your work and attention to detail
Good physical fitness and enjoyment of outdoor work
A current driver's licence
Experience with painting, carpentry or basic plumbing would be an advantage but isn't essential.
