Super Group SA is a South Australian owned civil infrastructure services company delivering hydro excavation, subsurface utility locating and CCTV inspection services to Tier 1 contractors, utilities and government across the state.
Our Super Scan division is growing, and we are looking for a Utility Locator to join the team.
You will be working on some of SA's most significant infrastructure projects alongside clients including major road and utility programs, SA Power Networks and leading civil contractors.
About the role
Based at our Seaford operations hub and working across metropolitan Adelaide and regional SA, you will:
Locate and mark underground services (power, water, gas, comms, sewer, stormwater) using electromagnetic induction (EMI) and ground penetrating radar (GPR)
Interpret BYDA (Dial Before You Dig) plans and produce clear, accurate locate reports and mark-outs for clients
Support hydro excavation crews with pre-excavation locating and potholing verification




Capture field data using GPS and digital mapping tools (Geolantis.360, Leica Zeno)
Complete daily records, quality checklists and job documentation through our Assignar field platform
Work safely and to procedure on live utility corridors, construction sites and road reserves, including occasional night shift work
About you
Certified locator (Certloc DBYD accreditation) or demonstrated locating experience with willingness to obtain certification (we will support and fund the pathway)
Experience with EMI locating equipment; GPR experience highly regarded
Construction Induction (White Card) and current SA driver's licence (manual preferred)
Solid attention to detail, tidy documentation habits and a safety-first mindset
Comfortable working autonomously and communicating directly with client site teams
Physically fit for outdoor field work in all conditions
