As a Pastry Chef/Baker, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality baked goods and pastries that delight our customers and uphold the reputation of Lancefield Bakery.

What you'll be doing
Preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and sweet goods according to established recipes and quality standards
Creating and developing new pastry and baked positive recipes to expand our product range
Ensuring all baked products meet our high standards for taste, appearance and presentation
Operating and maintaining bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers and proofing equipment
Managing ingredient inventory and ordering supplies as required
Practising proper food hygiene and safety protocols at all times
Working early morning shifts to ensure products are ready for daily service
Collaborating with the wider team to meet production targets and customer demands
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation and bakery kitchen
What we're looking for
Trade qualification or recognised certification in baking and pastry arts (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
Minimum of 3 years' professional experience working as a baker or pastry chef
Advanced knowledge of baking techniques, fermentation, lamination and pastry production
Strong understanding of ingredients, their properties and how they interact in baking
Proficiency in operating commercial baking equipment and tools




Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, consistent products
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Flexibility to work early morning shifts and weekends as required
Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience in menu development or recipe innovation is highly desirable
