About the Role
We are looking for a talented FPGA Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing R&D; team in Adelaide.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded systems, FPGA design, and real-time software used in next-generation medical laser systems.
You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to release and support.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop FPGA solutions (VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog) for real-time systems
Develop embedded software (C/C++) for electronics and hardware platforms
Perform hardware/software integration across complex systems
Conduct simulation, verification, and validation testing
Support new product development (NPD)
Troubleshoot and resolve embedded systems and electronics issues
Contribute to design reviews, documentation,



and continuous improvement
About You - Essential
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
3-6 years' proven experience as an FPGA developer or similar (Embedded Software Engineer).
Solid skills in FPGA development (VHDL, Verilog)
Experience with embedded C/C++ programming
Knowledge of digital design, signal processing, and real-time systems
Experience implementing network stacks and Linux drivers to facilitate FPGA design
About You - Highly Regarded
Experience in medical devices, defence, aerospace, or other regulated industries
Experience with RTOS, Linux embedded systems, or firmware development
Exposure to lasers, optics, imaging systems, or similar instrumentation
