Job Description
Help students achieve their career goals and transition successfully into employment.
Join a skilled,creativeand collaborative team committed to embedding career development across our work with students, academiccolleaguesand industry partners.
You will help shape career development learning initiatives across the University and contribute to innovative strategies that support Griffith students to become graduates of influence.
Provide expert career counselling and career development support, helping students make informed career decisions and successfully transition into employment.
Design and deliver impactful career development programs, workshops and curriculum-integrated learning that enhance employability and graduate outcomes.
Equip students with practical career management skills, including job search strategies, networking, applications and interview preparation.
Partner with academic staff and industry stakeholders to embed career development across the student experience and ensure initiatives remain relevant and industry-informed.
Contribute to innovative career education strategies that support Griffith students to become graduates of influence and achieve their career goals.
Use direct student engagement and insights to continuously improve services,



programs and career interventions as part of a collaborative, high-performing team committed to student success.
About you
Direct engagement with students is central to ensuring our services and initiatives remain relevant, targetedand meaningful.
Your experience as a qualified career development professional, with proven capability in career interventions such as career counselling, career decision making, job search strategies, networking, interview coaching and deliver career development content into curriculum will see you succeed in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity for a community-minded professional who is passionate about student engagement, inclusion and creating positive campus experiences.
What we can offer
We have 2 fixed-term positions (until 18/12/2026) – Full-time or part time (as a job share arrangement is also suitable).
Primary campus can be based at either Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast.
As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Salary Range
HEW Level 8 salary range $117,579 - $132,273 per annum + 17% superannuation.
The total FTE package will be $137,567 – $154,759 per annum
Griffith University's sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualifications in Career Development, Career Counselling,



Career Education that meets the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners and is recognised by the Careers Industry Council of Australia (CICA); together with relevant professional experience and demonstrated specialist expertise in career development, including the ability to apply contemporary career development theory and practice.
