The Role:
The Group QHSE Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality, WHS, and Environmental management systems across the group.
This role focuses on bridging the gap between corporate strategy and frontline execution through business analytics and hands on technical work including support and coaching.
All candidates will require the ability to obtain an Australian Security Clearance.
This requires Australian Citizenship.
The position is based in Adelaide, with occasional interstate or international travel.
Qualifications:
Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS/Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
(Cert III, with Cert IV in progress or planned for completion soon)
Formal training in quality assurance and compliance including ISO**** (highly desirable)
Experience:
Proven track record in a QHSE role, ideally within a multi-site or group environment.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within high-risk or complex environments (e.g., Manufacturing, Construction, Logistics, or Utilities).
Maritime or industrial experience highly regarded.




Experience operating across multiple sites or business units, demonstrating the ability to manage competing priorities and varied stakeholder needs.
History of assisting in the rollout or maintenance of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) to ISO standards.
Experience in conducting internal audits and facilitating external audit processes with certification bodies.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft 365 application suite with Microsoft PowerBI experience an advantage, but not essential.
Proficiency in auditing, risk management and assessment, project QHSE planning/management.
Ability to support and coach project teams to generate clear, concise, and logical Protected Work Method Statements (SWMS), risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal audit reports.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of Australian Model WHS Act and Regulations, and their implementation in South Australian, Western Australian and Queensland jurisdictions.
Understanding of the NZ Health and Safety at Work Act would be an advantage.
Understanding of the Queensland Electrical Safety Act and Regulations would be an advantage.
Understanding of the requirements for ISO **** (Quality), ISO ***** (Safety), and ISO ***** (Environment).
Understanding the principles of document version control and data integrity within a corporate governance framework.
Other Skills:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from the front line to the boardroom.
Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously
Ability to remain objective and proactive in the face of operational pressure or cultural resistance.
