About the Role
We are looking for a dynamicOperations Supervisor – Logisticsto lead, coordinate, and optimise our day-to-day logistics and linehaul and transport operations.
You will be the frontline champion for safety, compliance, customer service, and efficiency, ensuring the reliable movement of petroleum products across our network.
The role will be based primarily across two sites - Banksmeadow and Port Kembla.
A company vehicle will be provided to facilitate regular travel between the two locations and to other satellite bases.
What You Will Do
As a key leader in our operations team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Transport Leadership:Supervise daily linehaul operations, supporting schedulers with fleet allocation,



driver rosters, and customer stock control.
Driver Performance & Mentoring:Act as the frontline manager for our driver team, coaching and mentoring staff while conducting regular on-road, and site engagements.
Safety & Auditing:Conduct critical safety observations (pre-trip, loading, unloading) and lead incident investigations alongside our HSEQ Coordinator to ensure a zero-harm workplace.
Compliance Management:Maintain strict adherence to NHVAS Mass, Fatigue, and Maintenance Management standards, ensuring all CoR obligations are flawlessly met.
Fleet Utilisation:Coordinate fleet maintenance, monitor truck availability, and minimise unscheduled downtime without compromising on safety compliance.
Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration:Serve as a key touchpoint for customer service, delivery tracking, and ETAs, while cross-training in depot operations to build business-wide resilience.
Support for Depot Operations:working with the Operations Supervisor – Depot to ensure sufficient understanding to perform critical aspects of the role during periods of leave.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need strong operational management experience and excellent people management skills.
Essential




You must be able to demonstrate:
Proven operational management experience within the fuel, transport, or heavy logistics sectors.
Strong track record of supervising medium-to-large teams.
Deep working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue, mass, and NHVAS regulations.
High level of computer literacy, with experience utilising transport management systems and MS Office.
An understanding of how to get the best out of staff, whether it's recognising and building on the good, or working fairly to improve the not-so-great.
A valid MC Licence, or a firm willingness to obtain one.
Desirable:
Fuel tanker or petroleum transport experience.
Current Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence and terminal inductions.
Forklift licence.
Formal leadership or supervisory qualifications.
