ASSISTANT REARING FARM MANAGER
Permanent, full-time position

From our modern offices located at Girraween (NSW), we process, prepare, and distribute chicken meat products.
We are currently recruiting for anAssistant Rearing Farm Managerat our new rearing facility based in the Goulburn area in NSW.
The successful applicant must be prepared to work directly with livestock, including after-hours and weekends as required.
On-site accommodation is available for the successful candidate.
Reporting to the Rearing Farm Manager and Breeder Division Manager, you will assist in managing day-to-day farm operations and supporting livestock management strategies to help achieve production targets and ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, efficiency, and safety.
This role will see you responsible for, but not limited to:
Supporting the breeding and rearing of livestock
Assisting with monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of birds
Helping to move livestock to optimise feeding opportunities
Participating in daily farm operations such as shed servicing, grading, egg collection, and general hygiene
Assisting with the upkeep of farm infrastructure including fences, sheds, equipment, and water supply
Coordinating with staff and contractors during catching, vaccinations,



grading, and deliveries
Helping with staff supervision and day-to-day planning in the absence of the Rearing Farm Manager
Operating machinery, plant, and equipment as required
Monitoring feed levels, weighing birds weekly, and maintaining accurate records
Ensuring compliance with WH&S;, animal welfare, and biosecurity policies
Responding to alarms and alerts on-site as required, including after-hours
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise bird performance and farm efficiency
Skills and Experience
A relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in agriculture, animal science, or a related field
Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in the poultry industry, ideally within a rearing or breeder environment
Demonstrated experience in livestock care, operations, and team support
Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Practical knowledge of WH&S; and biosecurity standards
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
