Fairview Village Ltd is seeking an experienced, values-driven Board Director with extensive financial expertise to join our governance team and help shape the future of an innovative, community-focused organisation.
This is an prospect for a locally based finance professional with Board experience to contribute strategic financial oversight and governance to a respected regional not-for-profit.
Experience in, or a strong understanding of, the aged care sector and the regional operating environment will be highly regarded.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
Has extensive senior finance experience, ideally as a CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller or similar executive role.
Has previous Board or Board Committee experience, with a strong understanding of governance and financial oversight.
Lives locally and has a genuine connection to the region.
Understands the operating environment and challenges facing regional not-for-profit organisations.
Has experience in,



or a sound understanding of the aged care sector (highly desirable).
Can provide strategic financial insight, risk management expertise and support sustainable organisational growth.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent).
Significant senior financial leadership experience.
Strong commercial and financial acumen.
Previous Board Director or governance experience.
Local resident with an understanding of the regional community.
Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience within the not-for-profit sector.
Knowledge of the regional aged care operating environment.
Commitment
Our preference is the ability to attend regular Board meetings and participate in relevant Board committees, with virtual attendance possible.
A modest remuneration is offered in recognition of the role's responsibilities.
