ABOUT THE ROLE

Healesville RSL is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and people-focused Bistro Team Leader to join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career who has drive, personality, and the passion for great service.
You'll be working out of our newly renovated bistro — a warm, contemporary space that our members and guests are going to love — and you'll play a key role in making sure every shift runs smoothly and every guest leaves happy.
We're not your typical RSL — we're a venue that's evolving, and we're backing that evolution with serious investment in our future
Full time hours are available however we are flexible for the right person.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
-----------------------
Leading and supporting the bistro team across service periods, ensuring a high standard of food and beverage service
Opening and/or closing the bistro, managing the flow of service and keeping things running efficiently
Being the go-to person on shift — handling guest feedback, solving problems on the spot, and keeping the team motivated
Onboarding and training new team members and helping develop the skills of those around you
Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and timely service
Maintaining compliance with RSA and food safety standards at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous leadership experience in a hospitality service role (café, restaurant, bar or club environment)
A natural leader — someone your colleagues already look to when things get busy




Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering a great guest experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and positive under pressure
Current RSA Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable, not essential)
Full availability including nights, weekends and public holidays
