About the Role
Join our dedicated CALHN Cancer Services Psychology team to provide
specialist, evidence-based and compassionate care for people affected by
cancer.
In addition to providing psychological care to people with a range of
cancer diagnoses, this role will include conducting assessments of preparedness
for pelvic exenteration surgery as well as psychological intervention
post-surgery (while an inpatient and through outpatient clinics).
Working
within supportive and team-oriented cancer psychology and multidisciplinary
teams, you'll contribute to people's adjustment to their cancer and treatment
to help maximise their health outcomes.
At the AHP3 level (Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist), you'll be an
experienced clinician, responsible for leading pelvic exenteration psychology
services within the cancer team.
You'll provide clinical leadership, manage a
complex case load, provide supervision to provisional psychologists on
placement and lead quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
AHP-3Must hold general registration with the PsyBA and be endorsed in
(Clinical and/or Health Psychology) area of practice.
Must hold
approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision.
AHP-2Must hold general registration with the PsyBA.
