Carborough Downs underground Bord and Pillar mine is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin, approximately 30km north-east of Moranbah and 160km from Mackay and forms part of the broader Argo Complex.
This integrated mining complex includes the Ironbark Longwall Mine and Broadlea Open Cut, as well as a centralised Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP), where collaboration between our sites and teams is key to delivering safe and efficient outcomes.
TheContractor Management Coordinatorplays a key role in strengthening safety and operational excellence at Carborough Downs.
Working closely with site leaders and operational teams, this position leads the implementation and continuous improvement of contractor management, risk and assurance systems, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, the Site Health and Safety Management System (SHMS) and corporate standards.
Reporting to the HST Superintendent, you will be a key member of the HST team and broader site team, partnering with Superintendents and Coordinators across the sites to strengthen our SHMS.
Develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve Contractor Managementprocesses within the SHMS.
Maintain contractor governance, records, reporting and document control to ensure compliance with legislative, contractual and corporate requirements.
Support contractor selection, mobilisation, onboarding and performance management.
Monitor risk treatment actions and support implementation of critical controls and Principal Hazard Management Plans.
Provide technical advice on contractor management, including audits, inspections, investigations and compliance.
Implement and maintain the site Risk andAssurance Framework in line with corporate requirements.
Coordinate SHMS document reviews and maintain site risk registers.
Facilitate risk assessments,



WRACs and change management processes.
Analyseassurance data and prepare reports, dashboards and performance metrics for leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Demonstrated experience working with SHMS, contractor management, risk or assurance frameworks within a mining, resources or heavy industry environments
Tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent
Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance, governance and continuous improvement principles.
Experience coordinating audits with the ability to monitor and drive corrective actions.
A proactive mindset with a passion for improving systems, processes and safety outcomes.
Solid relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
A practical problem-solver who can analyse information, identify risks and implement effective solutions.
Strong administrative and document control skills, with experience maintaining registers, records and compliance documentation.
