About us
Noosa Day Hospital is a new, multidisciplinary facility opening soon.
This is a unique opportunity to join the founding team and shape the culture, practices and standards of a brand-new service.
The hospital features three state-of-the-art operating theatres and contemporary recovery and patient care areas.
We support a broad range of specialties, including Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Breast Surgery, Pain Management and MOHS Surgery.
Located within theNoosa Specialist Medical Centre.
the hospital will operate alongside specialist consulting suites and allied health services, delivering integrated surgical care from pre-admission through to recovery.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Stores and Wardsperson to support both clinical operations and inventory management.
This role is responsible for the effective procurement, handling and distribution of supplies, while also assisting the clinical team with patient support and general ward duties.
Key requirements
Previous experience in a wardsperson, stores or similar hospital support role
Experience in procurement and management of medical or surgical supplies
Knowledge of manual handling techniques, including patient transfers
Understanding of infection control and cleaning practices
Experience in a perioperative or day surgery environment desirable
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High level of professionalism, confidentiality and respect for patient dignity
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing work demands
Essential qualifications
Current driver licence
Current Basic Life Support certification, or willingness to obtain
Compliance requirement
Current right to work in Australia
