WesTrac is seeking experienced Field Service Plant Mechanics to join our elite Hunter Valley Field Service team, supporting some of the largest mining operations in the region.You'll enjoy the freedom of a field-based role, a sought-after lifestyle roster, industry-leading earning potential, and the backing of one of the world's largest authorised Cat® dealers.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you'll travel between customer sites, diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and provide expert support on Caterpillar machinery - all while keeping safety front of mind.

Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar mobile plant equipmentRespond to breakdowns and deliver effective field-based maintenance solutionsConduct planned maintenance and component replacementsProvide expert technical support and advice to customersComplete service documentation accurately and efficientlyMaintain the highest standards of safety, quality and customer serviceBuild strong working relationships across customer operations and maintenance teams
Skills & ExperienceEssentialCertificate III in Mobile Plant Technology + Certificate of Proficiency (Trade Qualification)Strong Caterpillar equipment knowledgeProven experience maintaining and repairing heavy mining equipmentAdvanced diagnostic and fault-finding capabilityCurrent Australian Driver's LicenceStrong communication and customer-facing skillsA proactive approach to safety and problem-solving
