The position is based at our Principal Depot inCharlton.
About Property Services
Within the Environment andCommunity Services Group, the Property Services Branch isresponsible for a vast array of diverse assets from iconic HeritageListed assets such as the Empire Theatre and Toowoomba City Hall,through to libraries, aquatic centres, depots, administration andother key community buildings, work in parks on parksinfrastructure, as well as contributing to the maintenance of keyroad infrastructure such as traffic lights and street lighting.Spanning almost 13,000km2, the team works diligently to guaranteeessential community services are maintained in every corner of theregion.
About the position
As our current Apprentice Painter, youwill assist in performing maintenance tasks on all Council-ownedbuildings, assets and facilities to a high standard, which ensurescustomer satisfaction, quality, and cost effectiveness.
The successful completion of thisapprenticeship will lead to a trade qualification as a Painter.
In this position, you will workunder direct supervision.

What you'll bring
Year10education.
WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS****Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, orequivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior tocommencement.
Interest in, and theability to, complete a Cert III in Painting andDecorating.
The ability to work atheights and in confined spaces.
The skills needed tocomplete daily work records.
