The Role:
We have an opportunity for a dedicated Cook to join our
small but committed team running the school canteen at Lake Joondalup Baptist
College.
This will start as a part time role, 30 hours per week, with the
opportunity to move to a full-time position after completion of a successful
probationary period.
You will work
alongside the Chef Manager to produce our breakfast, recess and lunch items,
and will take the lead in managing the canteen operations in the Chef Manager's
absence.
You will be trained to assist
with ordering, stocktakes, rostering, food safety audits & menu planning.
Ability
to cost recipes will be looked at favourably.
For the right candidate this role has significant
growth opportunity.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work
collaboratively with a small team,



in a small kitchen, but producing a
significant amount of food daily.
Great attitude, and commitment to our
clients' needs is what matters most in being successful in our team.
About You:
Excellent
organisation skills, ability to work independently to complete all kitchen
related tasks, including:
food
preparation.
Cleaning
of kitchen.
Knowledge
of / qualifications in Food Safety.
Previous
work in a school canteen environment would be beneficial
Availability
to work across the hours of **********, Monday to Friday
Strong
personal presentation.
Strong
inter-personal and communication skills.
Working
with Children Check is mandatory
