We are currently seeking an experiencedAccounts & Administration Officerto join our Maroochydore team on a full time, 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity leave coverage.
The Role
This is primarily an accounts-focused position, supported by a variety of general administration and business compliance responsibilities.
The role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident working with numbers, has strong attention to detail and enjoys managing multiple priorities in a busy and growing business.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Responsibilities
Preparing and issuing client invoices
Completing bank and account reconciliations
Receipting and allocating customer payments and company expenses
Monitoring outstanding accounts and undertaking debt recovery
Following up clients regarding overdue invoices and payment queries
Maintaining accurate accounting records within Xero
Assisting with general accounts administration and month-end processes
Administration Responsibilities
Quality checking detailed technical reports before they are issued to clients
Maintaining compliance information across client WHS and contractor management portals
Monitoring employee licences, qualifications, inductions and training records to ensure they remain current
Coordinating vehicle servicing and maintaining vehicle-related records
Assisting with minor contract administration and client documentation
Completing monthly portal submissions and reporting requirements for large clients
Preparing and issuing client quotations
Responding to client phone calls and emails
Supporting field technicians and the management team with general administration
Maintaining internal registers, procedures and business records
Assisting with the implementation and improvement of administrative processes
The Ideal Team Member
We are seeking someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, shows initiative and can confidently manage both accounts and administrative tasks.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
A minimum of two years' practical experience usingXerospecifically
Previous accounting, bookkeeping or accounts administration experience
Experience with invoicing, reconciliations, receipting and debt recovery
Strong problem-solving, time-management and organisational skills
The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines
A high level of computer literacy, particularly across the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
Confident written and verbal communication skills
A professional and customer-focused approach
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
A proactive attitude and a drive to take ownership of the role
Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system would be advantageous but is not essential.

A competitive hourly rate of $42 - $45, plus superannuation, negotiated based on skills and experience
