Location: Fulham Correctional Centre Role Type: Full time ongoing
Remuneration: starting $ 94,****** plus 12% super (dependent on qualifications)
About The Role
As Teacher Horticulture you will deliver high‐quality vocational education and training across horticulture programs, supporting students to develop practical, job‐ready skills aligned to industry standards.
The role involves classroom and practical delivery, assessment, student support, and contribution to continuous improvement and industry engagement.
You Will Be
Developing and delivering engaging, customised learning experiences under Certificate II in Horticulture & Certificate III in HorticultureSupporting learners to build confidence and competence in literacy and numeracyMaintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentationCreating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environmentEnsure compliance with national VET quality standards and BKI policiesCreating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning setting that supports diverse learner needsYou'll be part of a supportive team committed to providing vocational education that empowers learners and contributes to safer communities

Horticulture qualificationsCompleted Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentRelevant experience in teaching horticultureExperience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial)Effective communication skills for working in correctional settingsComputer proficiencyAbility to teach independentlyCommitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success
The Essential Paperwork: Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), Current police check, Certified right to work documentation, Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts
