Management ICT, to join the Commercial and Procurement Branch at

Remuneration:ASO8 – Salary Range
($130,046 - $134,956 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
This is a senior commercial leadership role within the Strategic
Contracts Directorate, accountable for the ICT category stream
across the State's portfolio of whole of government ICT agreements.
Working in close partnership with the Office of the Chief
Information Officer, you will set category strategy, shape sourcing
priorities and manage the performance of strategic ICT contracts
that enable delivery of government digital and operational
outcomes.
Reporting to the Chief Negotiation Officer, this role leads the
development and implementation of whole of government ICT category
strategies, identifies and sequences strategic sourcing
opportunities, and maintains oversight of strategically significant
ICT contract portfolios including panels and preferred supply
arrangements.
The portfolio spans enterprise software licensing,
managed platform services, end user computing, telecommunications,
network services and ICT infrastructure.
You will provide high
level commercial and procurement advice to senior executives, lead
strategic supplier engagement across the ICT market, and drive
continuous improvement in category management practice across the
State.
About you
We are looking for an experienced commercial and procurement
professional who can lead at a whole of government level and
operate with confidence in a complex, commercially sensitive and at
times politically sensitive environment.
Working under broad direction, you will be a confident
communicator and influencer, skilled at building effective
relationships with senior stakeholders, suppliers and industry
partners, and comfortable translating government priorities into
explicit sourcing strategies and commercial outcomes.
To be successful you will be:
Experienced in leading the planning, establishment and
management of complex and strategically significant contracts
or commercial arrangements.
Experienced in leading and managing professional teams to
deliver high quality outcomes in complex delivery
environments.
Able to provide high level commercial and procurement
advice to senior executives and influence decision making on
complex contractual and category matters.
Skilled at engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
across government and industry, with strong capability in
identifying, assessing and managing commercial, contractual and
procurement risk.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing
category strategies, contract management approaches or
commercial frameworks that deliver value for money, supported
by highly developed written and verbal communication
skills.

and strategic contracting.
Within the Branch, the Strategic
Contracts Directorate establishes and manages the State's
portfolio of significant whole of government contracts, working
in partnership with public authorities and the Office of the
Chief Information Officer to deliver value for money and strong
commercial outcomes.
