Job Description
SARGUN KANG PTY LTD SARGUN KANG PTY LTD T/A MOD Pizzeria is seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join its busy kitchen team.
The successful candidate will prepare, season and cook pizzas, pasta, wraps, sides and other menu items while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
Duties will also include preparing ingredients, monitoring stock levels, following food safety procedures and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
Applicants should have relevant cookery qualifications or suitable industry experience and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Task & responsibilities Examine ingredients, including vegetables, meats, sauces and cheese, to ensure freshness and quality.
Prepare and cook pizzas, pasta, wraps, sides and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Regulate the temperatures of pizza ovens, grills and other cooking equipment to ensure food is cooked correctly.
Season food during preparation and cooking to achieve the required flavour and consistency.
Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings and other ingredients before and during service.
Portion food, arrange menu items and add sauces, garnishes and accompaniments for service.




Store ingredients and prepared food in temperature-controlled facilities in accordance with food safety requirements.
Prepare food to meet customers' special dietary requirements, allergies and preferences.
Assist with planning menu items and estimating the quantity of food and ingredients required.
Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking and safe work practices.
Qualification & experience Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent relevant qualification.
Previous experience working as a Cook in a busy commercial kitchen.
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
Strong attention to food quality, consistency and presentation.
