We are seeking an experienced GP with a Special Interest to provide care for women and girls with pelvic pain and endometriosis through the new North Queensland Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Service.
This outpatient role strengthens links between hospital and primary care, improving referrals and continuity of care.
The role
This position provides clinical care to patients with pelvic pain and endometriosis as part of the North Queensland Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Service (NQPPES).
In addition, to improve the integration between the hospital and primary health care by providing services within an outpatient setting.
This role may also be requested to provide input into the planning, development, and quality improvement of planned care outpatient services at the local level: ensuring care is integrated across the patient journey and people receive access to the right level of care in the right place at the right time.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a permanent part-time role, working 24 hours per fortnight.

Salary range: $***** - $****** p.h. (L13-L18)
4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
Fellowship of either the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and specialist registration with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a General Practitioner.
Townsville Hospital and Health Service practicing clinical GP preferred.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
Experienced, well regarded GP with excellent communication skills.
The ability to liaise, negotiate and problem solve.
A demonstrated interest in adolsecent and/or women's health will be highly regarded.
Confidence and the ability to communicate and work with all levels of hospital and primary care staff including administration, nursing and specialist staff.
Good oral, written and organisational skills are an advantage with the ability to be confident in public speaking.
Demonstrates flexibility, optimism and shows initiative.
Demonstrates a proactive approach and creates opportunities to progress health service innovation, system change with a desire to improve local service delivery
Previous experience as a GP with Special interest will be highly regarded.
