and supported, especially in their time of need?
Join a passionate,
multi-agency team that's the first point of contact for people
experiencing or at risk of homelessness who contact the Adelaide
North West Homelessness Alliance.
We're looking for a calm, capable and compassionate
Customer Service Officer (CSO)to be the welcoming
voice on the other end of the phone.
Your role will be central to
helping people navigate their way to the right support, while
keeping the flow of information to assist service delivery running
smoothly behind the scenes.
We are offering apart-time fixed-termrole
concluding on30 June ****.
The successful
applicant will workThursdays and Fridaysand will
have theflexibility to pick up additional shiftsduring periods of planned and unplanned staff leave, providing
valuable support to the team when needed.
What you'll do
Be the first point of contact for individuals seeking help,
providing respectful, timely, and practical responses over the
phone.
Collect and record key information to support client triage
and referrals by the broader Access Team.
Support people through the initial steps of their journey,
offering realistic guidance that aligns with sector trends and
Alliance messaging.
Manage call-backs to check in on client circumstances or
progress where appropriate.
Handle enquiries with sensitivity and care, particularly
when customers are distressed or in crisis.
Provide general administration support, keeping data
accurate and up-to-date, compiling resources, and contributing
to trend reporting and team insights.
What you'll bring
ACertificate III(minimum) in Community
Services,



Business Administration or equivalent.
Robust background in customer service, ideally with
experience supporting vulnerable or marginalised people.
A confident, professional and warm telephone manner,
maintaining customer dignity even when under pressure.
The ability to stay calm and solution-focused in
challenging situations.
High level of attention to detail and confidence using
Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
A strong understanding of maintaining privacy and
confidentiality of customer information
A team player mindset, with a genuine commitment to
collaboration and continuous improvement.
Other essentials
CurrentWorking with Children Check,
NDIS Worker Screening Check, and
National Police Clearance.
Safe Environments for Children and Young People – Through
Their Eyes certificate (or willingness to obtain).
A current driver's licence is desirable.
